The 13th AIC International Congress, hosted on the beautiful island of Jeju, brings together color researchers, designers, and educators from around the world. Held in October on Jeju's scenic shores, the congress serves as a vital gathering point for the global color community, where the latest scientific reports, technological advances, and creative applications of color are shared and discussed. Attendees can expect a rich program spanning keynote addresses, invited talks, oral presentations, and poster sessions, all designed to foster meaningful exchange across disciplines and cultures.

Throughout the year leading up to the congress, the organizing committee has maintained an active notice board to keep the community informed of important deadlines and updates. From abstract submission windows in the early months to notification timelines and final paper requirements later in the year, these announcements help authors, presenters, and attendees plan their participation with confidence. Regular corrections and clarifications are posted as needed, ensuring that all participants have access to the most accurate and current information about the congress program and logistics.

The congress program is structured to showcase the breadth of color science and design, from fundamental research to applied practice. The scientific committee has curated a diverse lineup of sessions covering topics such as color perception, colorimetry, digital color reproduction, environmental color, and the cultural dimensions of color. In addition to the formal presentations, the event includes exhibitions and sponsorship opportunities that allow organizations and individuals to engage with the color community in meaningful ways, highlighting new products, services, and research initiatives.

Beyond the technical sessions, the congress offers a range of cultural and social events designed to celebrate the unique setting of Jeju Island. Participants can explore the island's natural beauty, including its famous Olle trails and coastal landscapes, through optional tours and organized excursions. These activities provide valuable opportunities for informal networking and relationship building among colleagues from different countries and backgrounds, reinforcing the sense of international community that has characterized the AIC congress series throughout its long history.

For those planning to attend, practical information regarding the venue, transportation, accommodation, and visa requirements has been made available through the official congress channels. The congress venue on Jeju Island offers modern facilities well suited to hosting an international gathering of this scale, while the island's welcoming atmosphere ensures a memorable experience for all participants. Whether attending as a presenter, exhibitor, or observer, visitors to the AIC2017 congress will find themselves part of a vibrant and forward-looking community dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of color.
